The Group
SMAF (South Milford Against Flooding) was formed as a lobby group to bring pressure and persuasion to bear on the appropriate bodies and responsible individuals to do whatever is necessary to make the village flood free. If you would like more information or would like to be involved please contact us using our contact section.
Since the formation of our group, there have been meetings with Cllr Bob Packham, the representative of our MP Nigel Adams (who has sent out his own survey of residents in the High Street), members of the Parish Council, Yorkshire Water, the EA, Selby district council as well as dialogue between other affected individuals and organisations. As a result there appears to be a greater commitment towards agencies working together to get some of our recommendations implemented, some of which are urgently required.

SMAF Committee Members
Below are the key members of the SMAF group (although many others are behind and supportive of the group in various different stakeholder roles). All of these individuals have given up much of their own free time and money in support of this initiative and continue to do so in order to drive forward their collective goal of making the village permanently and maintainably flood free!
